Policy, economics, law and governance

Members' work spans domestic and international responses to climate and energy policy and economics and disaster preparedness and responses, including reducing greenhouse gas emissions (mitigation) and climate change adaptation. It also includes research on ongoing international climate negotiations, including United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the broader realm of international climate policy, governance and politics.

Our scholars also specialise in the legal and governance aspects of the energy transition such as how policy design for cross-border trade in zero-carbon products, particularly in the Asia-Pacific, and corporate engagement and action.
