David Chutab Nawiene

David Chutab Nawiene is a Ph.D. Student at the Research School of Management, College of Business and Economics.

Currently, his research examines how digital technologies can be leveraged to build climate resilience. David’s research interests are in the areas of information communication for development (ICT4D), information systems, climate change impacts, climate change adaptation, climate and renewable energy finance, net-zero transition, sustainability, environmental management, and renewable energy policy.

He has worked with several international organizations including the European Commission, United Nations Environmental Program, United National Development Programs, Care International, and World Cocoa Foundation on climate change adaptation, mitigation, and forest restoration programs in Ghana.

Before joining ANU, David worked as a Development Planning Officer in Ghana's Local Government Service. With fervor, he dedicated himself to planning and implementing various programs and policies focused on climate change adaptation, forest restoration, health, and education, all of which significantly enhanced the quality of life for the rural populations in Ghana.

Research interests

Information Communication for Development (ICT4D), information systems, management, climate change, climate change adaptation, climate finance, local economic development, net-zero transition, sustainable development, environmental management, green financing, and renewable energy policy.
