Energy Change Essentials (ARENA)
Australia is in the middle of a major energy transformation – we are leading the world in the per capita installation rate for solar and wind energy, and new technologies for energy generation and energy storage continue to revolutionise the electricity sector.
This Energy Change Essentials professional short course is tailored for the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA). It seeks to provide ARENA professionals with a comprehensive overview of the latest research and trends in energy technology, economics and policy, and an understanding of the vulnerabilities of energy systems to climate change impacts.
The course is delivered by the ANU Institute for Climate, Energy & Disaster Solutions (ICEDS) and brings together leading researchers from across the University to share the latest research and discuss solutions.

A detailed version of the course program including the venue, parking arrangements and optional reading materials will be made available to participants before the course begins.
Details
- The course is delivered in-person.
- The program includes six lectures on renewable energy-related topics and group discussions to enable direct interaction with lecturers and other course participants.
- A short break punctuates each session, and 45 minutes is allocated for lunch. Full catering is provided.
- Course timings are 8.45am - 5.15pm.
- The course will be held at China in the World (building 188), Australian National University, Acton ACT.
