Can IGECs pave a new path for climate cooperation?
In August 2023, California and Australia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) pledging a new climate partnership between two of the largest economies in the world.
The MOU outlines five years of cooperation between California and Australia on clean energy, clean transportation, clean technologies, nature-based solutions, climate adaptation, green finance and investment and circular economy.
Dr Emma Aisbett is an Associate Professor at the ANU College of Law and Associate Director (Research) for the Zero-Carbon Energy for the Asia-Pacific Grand Challenge.
