Karina joined the Healthy Environments and Lives (HEAL) National Research Network at NCEPH in 2022 while completing her postgraduate studies at the ANU Crawford School of Public Policy.

She has worked in advocacy roles for peak bodies in the public health sector and is experienced in communications, knowledge exchange and policy advocacy for public health, environmental issues and sustainable development.

In her role as the HEAL Knowledge Exchange Coordinator she facilitates stakeholder engagement, knowledge sharing, and capacity building to enhance research translation into policy and practice, working towards measurable improvements in human health, the environment and the sustainability of the healthcare sector.
