Jason Alexandra is a consultant, farmer and researcher who has held senior roles in government and NGOs. As a Senior Executive at the Murray Darling Basin Commission and the MDB Authority he had responsibility for natural resource management programs including native fish, ecological assessments, risks and climate R&D. Jason’s work as consultant spans many aspects of natural resources management research and policy. Jason is currently working at the Institute for Climate, Energy & Disaster Solutions at the Australian National University, where he is researching water governance and climate adaptation.  Jason’s policy and research work is grounded in practical and business experience in agriculture, forestry and horticulture. In 1989 Jason was awarded the inaugural Banksia Award for environmental achievement for his work in promoting revegetation through the Victorian Tree-crop Nursery.
