Dr Tayanah O'Donnell

Dr Tayanah O'Donnell is a lawyer, academic, and now senior executive working in science-policy-practice based at the Australian Academy of Science where she currently leads the Oceania node of Future Earth. There she works with diverse stakeholders to design and implement multi-perspective and robust science synthesis for use across governments, industry, the research sector, and civil society.

Her areas of scientific expertise include environment and planning law, climate change adaptation, climate governance, coastal policy, and urban and regional sustainability. She has worked on these areas with a range of sectors for over fifteen years, spanning private, public, academic and non-profit sectors. She has published on these topics in a range of formats, including books, scientific papers, and popular media.
