Dr Anna Sanders

Anna Sanders is an interdisciplinary social researcher at the ANU Institute for Climate, Energy and Disaster Solutions. Her research focuses on the social, ethical and political dimensions of environmental governance and climate adaptation occurring within rapidly changing environments. Before joining ANU, Anna held research and teaching roles at the University of Melbourne, where she is an honorary fellow at the School of Agriculture, Food and Ecosystem Sciences. Anna’s previous research, policy and advocacy work has focused on environmental and resource issues in Australia and Southeast Asia. She has worked extensively in tropical peatlands and oil palm growing regions of Indonesia. Anna has also lived and worked in the Northern Territory, where she is interested in landscape change and climate adaptation.
