Ewelina Przybyszewski

Strategic Research and Partnerships Manager
ANU Institute for Climate, Energy & Disaster Solutions

Ewelina supports the development of research and relationships that will leverage ANU knowledge to create more substantive impact in the real world of climate, energy and disaster solutions. In short, she tries to bring the right people and ideas together to generate research grants, policy translation, and ongoing stakeholder engagement. Working in the 'third space' that bridges traditional professional and academic divides, she also leads a number of research programs that focus on climate adaptation across the Pacific.

Ewelina has strong research, policy, communications and business development expertise, drawn from professional experiences across the private and public sectors. She leverages her skills as an accredited partnership broker to negotiate situations of collaboration and conflict alike. She appreciates chaos and order equally, so you'll find her both managing budgets in spreadsheets and facilitating foresighting workshops with verve.

As a social scientist, she has worked and conducted qualitative research in the environment, climate and energy spaces for many years. She landed in Australia by happy accident, after working with Traditional Owners in the Northern Territory to interrogate the legal history of jointly managed national parks and falling in love with Kakadu NP. She became a true Australian upon being stung by a bluebottle and adopting a retired cattle dog.

Ewelina holds a Master of Environment and a Master of Business Administration from the ANU and Bachelor of History degree from Amherst College (USA).
