ActewAGL Endowment Fund 2024 - Call for Expressions of Interest
ANU is seeking concept proposals from ANU researchers who wish to build partnerships with ActewAGL to work on key challenges of renewable energy.
Through the generosity of the ActewAGL Endowment Fund, ANU is calling for researchers to propose research projects related to ActewAGL’s energy priority areas listed below. The research proposals are to have potential to transfer knowledge and expertise across disciplines and sectors, and create opportunities to work on larger joint projects. Recipients will be expected to participate in outreach and engagement activities in the renewable energy sector.
The 2024 EOI will focus on the below priority areas relevant to the strategic objectives of ActewAGL:
- Understanding electrification readiness in the ACT and factors such as consumer education, awareness, perceptions, empowerment, and cultural and social barriers.
- ActewAGL Retail are conducting a pilot project in an ACT suburb to explore electrification readiness. Additional social research opportunities exist to further investigate factors that contribute to household electrification in the ACT in the context of the broader energy transition.
- Consumer attitudes, behaviours and perceptions relating to the energy transition and energy retailing including, but not limited to:
- Tariffs
- Home solar systems
- Electric vehicle adoption
- Controllable load
- Home electrification
- Equitable transition
