Cynthia Parayiwa is currently a PhD candidate with the School of Archaeology & Anthropology at the Australian National University. Cynthia does research in environmental disasters and perinatal health from a Biological Anthropology perspective using statistical and spatial analysis. Their most recent publication is 'Effects of prenatal maternal stress on birth outcomes following tropical cyclone Yasi in Queensland, Australia (2011)'.
