Roxana Tompea

Roxana Tompea is a communication specialist with experience in implementing circular economy projects and promoting sustainable industrial development.

She has worked in international settings, including with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), contributing to projects across the European Union, Eastern Neighbourhood, Western Balkans, and the Caucasus.

Roxana is currently a PhD candidate at the Australian National University, where her research focuses on the regulation of sustainable food systems, investigating greenwashing and the commercial determinants of health in ultra-processed foods.

Her work aims to advance governance and regulatory frameworks that promote planetary health equity. She holds a dual master’s degree from the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna and the University of Vienna.
