Yan joined the ANU Institute for Climate, Energy & Disaster Solutions in March 2023 as the Executive Education Coordinator. She graduated from the University of Canberra with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a Master's degree in Human Resource Management as well as a Certificate IV in Project management from the Australia Institute of Management. After 10 years of service at the University of Canberra as the coordinator for transnational programs in the Faculty of Business, Government and Law, Yan joined ANU College of Asia and Pacific in 2021 as a partnership and agreement officer to manage the agreements of engagements and partnerships for the whole college and then started the role of senior school administrator with School of Cybernetics from Aug 2022.

Outside of work, Yan is busy with her two sons' different co-curricular activities; although it is very hard, Yan enjoys the process of learning and growing with her boys. Yan loves to travel and taste delicious food; before the pandemic, Yan had a regular family travel schedule every year.
