Genevieve Newey

Energy Program Officer, ANU Institute for Climate, Energy & Disaster Solutions

Genevieve studied a Bachelor of Environments at the University of Melbourne before working as an Environmental Advisor. In this role, she worked with farmers, government and industry to ensure the conservation of sensitive habitats in the NSW Northern Rivers. Genevieve undertook a Master of Science in Sustainability, Society and the Environment at CAU Kiel (Germany), and during this time worked on an EU-INTERREG Program focusing on multi-stakeholder engagement for community energy development in the Baltic sea region. On her return to Australia, began working for ANU on the Sustainable Farms Project in regional NSW, before making the move to Canberra this year.
