Eri is the project officer for Distinguished Professor Xuemei Bai's Laureate project at the Fenner School of Environment and Society. Her role is supporting the research and administrative activities of the project team.

She received her PhD in linguistics as part of a Laureate Project at the ANU College of Asia and the Pacific investigating linguistic diversity in the Pacific and Australia.
