Associate Professor Simon McClusky

Senior Fellow

Twenty years experience in the fields of geodetic and geophysical research. Expertise in geodetic data analysis, geophysical data modelling and scientific software development. Receiving a PhD in surveying form the School of Surveying at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in 1994, then worked for 17 years as Research Scientist at the Massachusets Institute of Technology (MIT) , Department of Earth Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences, before joining the Research School of Earth Sciences at the Australian National University (ANU) as a Fellow in 2010.

Research interests

My research interests centre on the application of advanced space geodetic observations and techniques to understanding global and regional tectonic deformation processes and their associated seismic hazards and continental hydrosphere and cyrosphere mass balance systems.
