Dr Ye Wang
Contacts
Dr Ye Wang is a research fellow in the School of Engineering at ANU, background in mechanical engineering, with experience in concentrating solar thermal (CST) system design, techno-economic analysis, high-dimensional optimisation, sensitivity and risk analysis. She is the key manager of two open-source repositories (solsticepy and SolarTherm) for CST simulations.
Dr Wang completed her PhD at ANU in Jul 2020, focusing on the topic of optical and thermal performance of solar thermal receivers, funded by ARENA. She has been involved in several solar thermal related projects, including the design of a 20 kWe dish-Stirling system, the ASTRI heliostat and system modelling projects, DOE Gen3 projects, the HelioCon project, and the Sunrise big dish project. She is also actively involved in industrial decarbonisation projects funded by ARENA and HILT CRC. Her work in this area includes the techno-economic analysis of green heat/electricity/hydrogen options for variable industrial processes.
