The Institute brings together cutting edge climate change, energy transition and disaster-risk research. It ranges from fundamental climate science and its effects on our biophysical environment, to the societal, economic, political, legal and technological impacts and responses. We also unite expertise in energy technologies and  implementation expertise in the economic, legal, sociological and policy issues of energy change.

Our broad portfolio of research activity is unique in the country.
