Miracle Egbo

PhD Candidate, Research School of Earth Sciences

My research focus is in formulating inverse mathematical models that relate seismic data to the physical properties of rocks. I am also exploring the applications of high-performance computing in processing remote sensing data for imaging of near-surface and complex subsurface earth’s structures.

Currently, my PhD research at ANU-RSES is focused on the applications of Distributed Acoustic Sensing for seismic imaging, and the material characterisation of important earth phenomena through their interations with light.

Research interests

  • Distributed Acoustic Sensing
  • Earth systems
  • Sustainability and Climate Consciousness
  • Carbon removal, Environmental GHG sequestration systems and studies
