‘A story of hope’: how the Covid downturn could help Australia rebuild from its black summer

ANU Climate Change Institute Director, Prof Mark Howden, who is also an Energy Change Institute Advisory Board member, featured in this Guardian story about housing and the Black Summer bushfires.

He said done right, a response designed to straddle both the COVID-19 and bushfire disasters could create jobs, develop regional economies, install better energy systems and lower emissions all at once.
