This episode of Policy Forum Pod takes a look at Australia’s energy policies in light of the upcoming federal election, as well as the government’s role in ensuring a smooth transition to renewables.

Over the past decades, Australia has lacked stability in its climate policy even as climate change becomes impossible for the world to ignore. With Australian voters heading to the polls this Saturday, does the country have the policy promises it needs to spark an energy change?

In this interview Professor Ken Baldwin, Director, ANU Energy Change Institute, Professor Kylie Catchpole, Research School of Engineering and Mark Kenny,  ANU Australian Studies Institute, look at how Australia can transition to renewables even without a strong policy framework to lead the way.
