Podcast - Environmental Heroes: Prof Mark Howden

Professor Mark Howden is Director of the Institute for Climate, Energy and Disaster Solutions at the Australian National University. He is also a Vice Chair of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and member of the ACT Climate Change Council. He has been a major contributor to the IPCC since 1991 and shared the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize with other IPCC participants and Al Gore.

Alongside this Mark is a keen vegetable grower and jam maker who forages for wild plums and rides his bicycle to work. He sat down with Julie and Ryan at the Canberra Environment Centre to talk about his work, his heroes and the simple things we can do at home to lower our emissions while maintaining a positive outlook on life.
