Largest battery in Australia to be built at ageing NSW coal-fired power plant

Dr Marnie Shaw spoke to ABC News for its story about the rapid developments of large-scale battery storage.

"The new battery, to give an idea of the scale, is more than four times the size of Australia's largest battery in South Australia at Hornsdale," Dr Shaw, from the Battery Storage & Grid Intergration Program said.

Dr Shaw also said more batteries will be needed as more renewables are added to the grid.
