Global climate talks have come to a close in Madrid

A compromise deal on cutting greenhouse emissions has been struck at the latest global climate talks, leaving many climate scientists and experts feeling disappointed and pointing the finger at a handful of countries, including Australia.  Australia was the only country fighting for carry-over-credits from the Kyoto Protocol to be allowed, in order to help meet its 2030 targets.
