Applications now open: Renewable Energy First Nations Engagement Fellow
A unique opportunity exists for a talented and motivated person with a passion for renewable energy in a First Nations context. In collaboration with the Zero-Carbon Energy for the Asia-Pacific (ZCEAP) Grand Challenge, the First Nations Portfolio is seeking to appoint a Renewable Energy First Nations Engagement Fellow.
This position will engage First Nations peak bodies, communities and enterprises in research that supports their participation or interest in future renewable-based export industries and associated markets. The position will build frameworks and processes that inform industry, governments and other agents’ actions to include First Nation interests in large-scale renewable energy based industrial facilities.
The appointee is also expected to contribute to relevant research as a key member of the ZCEAP Indigenous Engagement program which aims to build understanding of how First Nations can best benefit from renewable energy-based export projects. Candidates with demonstrated knowledge of Australia's emerging renewable energy sector as well as experience working directly with First Nations peoples and communities are encouraged to apply.
Applications close Sunday 30 April.
