The ANU Energy Change Institute and Climate Change Institute present an open public forum on 12 June on the Australian Government’s recently released 2020 Technology Investment Roadmap discussion paper.

The public forum is aimed at sharing a range of perspectives around the Roadmap’s discussion paper, which is open for public consultation until 21 June.

The discussion paper includes factors such as the “challenges, global trends and competitive advantages” of priority technologies, negative emissions, and ‘stretch’ goals including producing hydrogen for under $2 per kilogram.

We have assembled an expert panel across a wide range of backgrounds comprising:

Sophia Hamblin Wang (Director, CO2 Value Australia)
Dr Patrick Hartley (CSIRO Hydrogen Industry Mission)
Prof Frank Jotzo (ANU Crawford School of Public Policy)
Dr Elizabeth Ratnam (ANU Energy Change Institute)
Anna Skarbek (CEO, ClimateWorks Australia)

We’ll also be joined by senior officials from the Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources (DISER) from the team that led development of the Technology Investment Roadmap discussion paper.

The discussion will be chaired by ANU Energy Change Institute Director, Prof Ken Baldwin, and we will welcome your questions via the Zoom Q&A.
