Short Course: Energy Essentials for Professionals

The ANU Energy Change Institute is offering a one-day short course on Energy Essentials for professionals who want to understand and become up-to-date with advances in energy technology and policy.

Australia is in the middle of a major energy transformation – we are leading the world in the installation rate for renewable energy. New technologies, in particular solar photovoltaics, wind power and energy storage, continue to revolutionise the electricity sector.

This course is tailored for professionals with a technology, policy, business or economics background. It will cover the latest trends in energy whilst focusing on energy fundamentals.

  • Economics of low-carbon energy - Associate Professor Paul Burke, Crawford School of Public Policy, ANU
  • Trends in renewable energy technologies - Dr Matthew Stocks, College of Engineering and Computer Science, ANU
  • Energy storage and network integration - Dr Lachlan Blackhall, ANU Battery Storage and Grid Integration Program
  • Renewable gas: what policy and law will we need? - Dr James Prest, College of Law, ANU
  • Energy Futures: an outlook on future energy systems and their transformation both in Australia and internationally - Professor Ken Baldwin, ANU Energy Change Institute.

This course will take place subject to demand, and applications will close when the course is full. Registrants will receive a full refund in the event that the course is cancelled.

Substitution of registrants may be permissable.
