Thipphavone Chanthapaseuth

Thipphavone (Thip) Chanthapaseuth was a dedicated and experienced Program Manager at the Australian Embassy in Vientiane, specialising in water, energy, and climate initiatives under the Mekong Australia Partnership. With a Master of Public Policy in Economic Development from the Korean Development Institute and a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Queensland, Thipphavone brings a strong academic background to her role.

Since 2021, she has successfully managed bilateral and regional programs, ensuring high-quality aid delivery and supporting COVID-19 response and recovery efforts. Her work includes overseeing sustainable fishery programs, energy cooperation, and climate finance initiatives. Thipphavone excels in producing detailed research and analysis, providing strategic advice, and maintaining robust stakeholder engagement.

Previously, as a Senior Program and Policy Officer, she contributed to the Greater Mekong Water Resources Program, facilitating regional cooperation and policy development. Her early career as a Research Officer and Trade Analyst honed her skills in research, policy analysis, and project management.

Fluent in Lao, English, and Thai, Thipphavone is committed to fostering sustainable development and international cooperation in the Mekong region. Her dedication to excellence and her ability to navigate complex political and economic landscapes make her a valuable asset to any team.
