Carolyn joins ICEDS with a multidisciplinary background in program management, communications and community engagement.

Working across the public, tertiary and not-for-profit sectors, Carolyn has held roles with the UN Global Compact Cities Programme (RMIT), the Alliance for Water Stewardship – Asia Pacific, the City of Melbourne and the urban renewal project Renew Australia, and also participated in Australian Volunteers Program where she worked with the Savusavu Tourism Association in Fiji on their COVID-19 recovery.

Carolyn holds a Master of Communications (Public Relations) and a Master of Disaster, Design and Development and is currently completing a Master of Climate Change at ANU. She has also completed single masters courses with the University of the Westfjords in Oceanography, Physical Coastal Processes and Coastal Tourism.

Carolyn was a member of the IAP2 Emergency Management Community of Practice between 2019-2020, and is a member of the Creative Recovery Network.

When Carolyn’s not in the office, you’ll find her undertaking artist residencies in cold far off places, including residencies in Seyðisfjörður (East Iceland) and more recently aboard the Arctic Circle vessel in the high Arctic (Svalbard).
