Caitlyn has dedicated her studies and career to the pursuit of climate action, an interest that was born after experiencing the impacts of the Millennium drought while living in rural Australia. She has sought to translate complex climate change problems into plain English across the public, private and university sectors in Australia and the Pacific. She has an academic background in economics and climate science, with a focus on the risks associated with emissions removal activities and carbon offset schemes.
