Igor Skryabin is the Research and Business Development Manager (Energy) for the ANU Institute for Climate, Energy & Disaster Solutions.

Dr Skryabin's career has spanned both industry and academia. His 30+ years experience includes development and commercialisation of solar photovoltaics, electrochemical energy convertors, energy for defence and security, renewable energy market development mechanisms, and commercialisation of intellectual property.

Dr Skryabin has published more than 100 research papers and is an inventor of more than 35 patents and industrial designs. In the 2010 review of Australian solar patents, Griffith Hack a major Australia intellectual property firm, identified Dr Skryabin as the second-most cited Australian inventor.

At ANU Dr Skryabin was instrumental in establishing large collaborative projects with universities and commercial partners in China, India and Indonesia, and of the Master of Energy Change programme. He is a co-lead/coordinator of the Australia-Indonesia Energy Cluster, Board Member of the Australian Photovoltaic Institute and of the APEC Sustainable Energy Centre in China.

Dr Skryabin is a founding convenor of “Energy Generation and Transformation”, a foundation course of the ANU Master of Energy Change programme.
