Boyd Blackwell is a Senior Fellow in the Plasma Research Laboratory, Research School of Physics and Engineering at the ANU College of Physical and Mathematical Sciences. His research interests include:
- Configurational effects on equilibrium and stability of toroidal plasma
- High performance computation and visualisation
- Application of database, data mining and machine learning techniques to analysis of plasma and fluctuation data
Research interests
Plasma physics and applications to fusion power and materials interactions
Advanced geometries for the magentic confinement of plasma
MHD equilibrium and stability, plasma wave propagation and heating, plasma diagnostics
Numerical simulation and large scale computation, visualisation of complex phenomena
Signal/data processing and analysis
Power electronics and applications to energy efficiency and sustainability.
