The winning team from the Canberra Climathon, Certified Renewable, have been judged one of the best “Global Climathon City Solutions” by the EU’s Climate-KIC and are on their way to the Paris Climate talks to showcase their ideas, with support from the Climate Change Institute.   They've also been rated a top-ten finalist in InnovationACT. 
Focused on facilitating the ACT’s renewable energy transition, ‘Certified Renewable’ plans to offer accreditation to small and medium-sized businesses in the ACT that use 100% renewable energy.   The young, innovative team will feature as part of Climate-KIC’s main showcasing event alongside other global winners of the 2015 Climate-KIC ‘Climathon’. 
This is a unique opportunity for the Canberra-based group to share their vision for supporting the ACT Government in developing a climate-ready and adaptable ACT with a high-level audience of city, climate, and start-up specialists. Ultimately, Certified Renewable hopes to move into other states across Australia to inspire and incentivise small and medium-sized businesses to partake in the renewable energy revolution.
