Why the coronavirus pandemic could be good news for the environment

Dr Emma Aisbett of the Energy Change Institute and ANU Grand Challenge Zero-Carbon Energy for the Asia-Pacific was interviewed by ABC Radio Australia for their story about how environmental researchers have noticed air pollution levels have plummeted in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.

"Given the urgent need if we are to avoid catastrophic climate change of making a transition to zero-carbon energy systems, this actually presents a really excellent opportunity to do that in a minimally disruptive way."
