Emissions Removal Manager - applications now open

11 January 2022

Would you like to work on an innovative, world-leading initiative to drive down greenhouse gas emissions? ICEDS is currently recruiting for an Emissions Removal Manager to join the ANU Below Zero team.

Climate change is affecting communities all over Australia, with 2020 the joint hottest year ever recorded (along with 2016).  In response, ANU has committed to reduce its own greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs), in line with commitments to be net greenhouse gas neutral by 2025 and negative by 2030, via the ANU Below Zero Initiative.

The Emissions Removal Manager will play a key role in planning and managing the University’s approach to removing greenhouse gases from the atmosphere, by working collaboratively across ANU and with external stakeholders to develop new research and build innovative programs to draw down emissions.  The role will build partnerships with other universities and organisations who are undertaking emissions removal activities, ensuring that activities are integrated with ANU research and teaching.  The successful candidate will also identify and secure high-quality Australian carbon offsets to meet the University’s 2025 net zero target.

Applications close Sunday, 6 February 2022.
