Carbon emissions will drop, but experts fear 'revenge pollution'

Honorary Associate Professor Hugh Saddler and Professor Frank Jotzo were both quoted by the Sydney Morning Herald on 29 March for their views on a fall in carbon emissions.

Prof. Saddler said that the near-complete stalling of related tourism activities will also lop transport emissions, and a “big reduction in petroleum product consumption”.

Prof. Jotzo said: “These are the wrong types of emissions reductions. This in no time for jubilation for a few percentage points.”
