Applications are now open for a Research Officer to join the ANU Institute for Climate, Energy & Disaster Solutions (ICEDS). 

The position is a key role in a friendly, motivated team and contributes to a program of research being developed and undertaken within ICEDS that focuses on exploring climate-responsive programming and policy solutions and socio-technical adaptation, particularly through enhancing climate-resilient food systems and nature-based solutions. This is to enhance adaptation by partnering with communities and governments across Australia and the Asia-Pacific to generate and share knowledge and empower change. The Research Officer will be required to effectively liaise with several Government Agencies, R&D organisations and national/international collaborators.

We seek a strong team player with tertiary qualifications in climate science, natural resource economics, social science, development studies, Pacific studies, or a related field, who possesses demonstrated research and analytical skills (including survey design, cost-benefit analysis, and qualitative or quantitative research methods), along with proven experience in providing high-level project management and operational advice to executive management, or an equivalent combination of experience and education/training, with strong evaluation and problem-solving skills.
