New ANU ICEDS Climate Capability Short Courses
Build the capability to respond to a changing climate
Climate change is reshaping the decisions that governments, industries, communities and professional sectors need to make. From policy and leadership to urban resilience, nature-based solutions and health system preparedness, there is a growing demand for practical capability that can support informed action in a changing climate.
The ANU Institute for Climate, Energy & Disaster Solutions is inviting Expressions of Interest for four new professional short courses designed to help professionals build the knowledge, judgement and practical understanding needed to respond to climate change across policy, planning, environment, infrastructure and health.
Whether you are working in government, industry, consulting, health, planning, sustainability, infrastructure, environment or the community sector, these courses offer the opportunity to learn from ANU experts and engage with real-world challenges at the intersection of climate change, policy and practice.
Responding effectively to climate change requires more than awareness. Professionals now need the ability to interpret evidence, navigate complex policy environments, plan for future risk, deliver practical solutions and work across sectors.
These new ICEDS professional short courses are designed to support that capability. Each course focuses on a distinct area of climate response, while together they form a broader learning pathway for professionals and organisations seeking to strengthen climate-related decision-making and implementation.
Expressions of Interest now open:
The four new courses are:
- Effective Climate Policy and Leadership
- Planning for Climate Change: Resilient and Sustainable Urban Futures
- Planning and Delivering Nature-based Solutions
- Climate Change & Health
Participants may register interest in one or more courses, depending on their professional role, organisational needs and areas of interest.
