The McMichael Award: Inspiring Research Excellence at ANU

8 December 2025

Congratulations to Dr Milad Mohsenzadeh, McMichael award winner, 2025!

The McMichael Award continues to foster research excellence and career growth through a global network of mentors and leaders, honouring the legacy of the late Emeritus Professor Tony McMichael—a pioneer in environmental epidemiology. This annual award offers a springboard for early- and mid-career researchers working at the critical nexus of environment and health.

Scholars from across ANU—including the College of Science and Medicine, College of Asia and the Pacific, College of Law, Governance and Policy, College of Arts and Social Sciences, and the College of Systems and Society—come together under this initiative to advance impactful, interdisciplinary research.

We look forward to supporting the next generation of leaders driving solutions for a healthier planet and society.
