The ANU Climate Update 2025: If not now, when?

The ANU Climate Update 2025 will be the final Update presented by Professor Mark Howden, as he finishes his term as ICEDS Director this year.

The Climate Update will present an overview based on the very latest research and data detailing how our climate is changing and how we are responding to these changes in Australia and around the world. Climate change remains a critical issue to be grappled with as we have seen yet another new record annual global temperature along with global evidence of increasingly severe climate change fueled impacts. But at the same time we have not yet taken our foot off the climate change accelerator with record GHG emissions again.

ICEDS Director Professor Mark Howden will reflect on the changes in climate and related matters observed during his time leading the former ANU Climate Change Institute and the current ANU Institute for Climate, Energy & Disaster Solutions over the last decade, finishing with a view of a better path forward.
