About

I am a chemist and materials scientist with expertise in functional nanomaterials and a strong focus on translating laboratory technologies into practical industrial applications. My research experience spans more than 10 years in materials fabrication and optimization with extensive hands-on expertise in analytical, fabrication, and characterization techniques, together with strong capabilities in experimental design, method development, data analysis, and troubleshooting.

I have successfully delivered research and commercial projects in collaboration with academic, industry, and government partners and published more than 70 peer-reviewed papers (h-index: 33). Recent funded projects include the development of carbon dots from cotton waste for agricultural and solar cell applications, PFAS sensing technologies, nucleic acid delivery systems, wastewater treatment materials, and heavy metal monitoring materials.

I am currently a Research Fellow at the School of Engineering, Australian National University (2025–present). Prior to this, I worked at RMIT University (2018–2025) and CSIRO Materials Science and Engineering (2008–2018). I received a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the National University of Singapore.
