About
Shuyu is a PhD student in the School of Engineering at the Australian National University.
Specializing in biomass valorization, she is dedicated to advancing sustainable technologies for industrial CO2 mitigation. Her research focuses on the application of lignocellulosic biomass for low-emission iron and steelmaking, specifically investigating biomass gasification and the utilization of bio-syngas as a green reducing agent.
By combining experimental and simulation-driven approaches, Shuyu aims to optimize bio-substitute integration in metallurgical pathways, offering scalable solutions to accelerate the energy transition and support global net-zero targets.
