Professor Lexing Xie

Lexing Xie is Professor of Computer Science at the Australian National University, she directs the ANU Integrated AI Network and the ANU Computational Media lab (http://cmlab.dev).

Her core interests are in machine learning, optimisation, and social media.

Most recently she focuses on mapping the mathematical landscape of online attention market, and using AI to bridge the information gaps in climate change and gleaning insights into human decisions.

Her research has been supported by ARC Future Fellowship, ARC Discovery Projects, AFOSR, CSIRO and others.

Her PhD was from Columbia University and BS was from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China.
