Dr. Borui Liu is an ARC DECRA Fellow and Lead of the ANU Battery Laboratory at the Research School of Chemistry, Australian National University (ANU).

His research focuses on advanced electrochemical energy storage technologies, particularly all-solid-state batteries and lithium-ion batteries.

Dr. Liu has published extensively in leading international journals, including Energy & Environmental Science, Advanced Energy Materials, Nano Letters, ACS Nano, and Journal of the American Chemical Society, etc.

His research integrates materials chemistry, electrochemistry, and solid-state ionics to develop next-generation high-energy-density battery systems, with a strong focus on supporting Australia’s clean energy transition and advancing energy storage technologies across the broader clean energy value chain.
