Bill McAlister has joined ANU Institute for Climate, Energy & Disaster Solutions as a Senior Research Officer for the national nature-based solutions for flood management project, partnering with local communities in regional Australia to increase resilience to flood risk. Before joining ICEDS, Bill worked for the Mulloon Institute where he was responsible for the planning and implementation of riparian restoration projects. Bill will be drawing on his understanding of how riparian systems change and adapt to assess the ecological co-benefits of nature based solutions projects.
