Ali has joined ANU Institute of Climate, Energy & Disaster Solutions as Acting Program Manager - Disaster Solutions. She is from Beechworth in North East Victoria and completed her Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Asia-Pacific Studies at the ANU, her Master of Teaching at the University of Melbourne, and is now back in Canberra completing a Master of Climate Change at the Crawford School, ANU. Ali has worked as a primary and special education teacher, as a youth environmental leadership program coordinator and facilitator in Australia and internationally, as program manager for Australia’s youth delegations to the UNFCCC, as director of multiple youth climate organisations, and as a climate education and communication research assistant. Ali loves hiking, kayaking, cooking, travelling and reading fantasy novels. Ali is excited to be back in Canberra for the Master of Climate Change and to engage in some more work and research in the climate space, including through ICEDS.
