Dr Timo Henckel

Timo Henckel is Associate Professor at the Research School of Economics and a Research Fellow in the Centre for Applied Macroeconomic Analysis, where he directs the Behavioural Macroeconomics and Complexity research program. He is also Chair of ANU's Reserve Bank of Australia Shadow Board. Timo’s research spans the fields of behavioural economics, monetary economics, international macroeconomics, experimental economics, complexity and heterogeneity. He has theoretically, empirically and experimentally studied the sources of bounded rationality and the implications of such behaviour on inflation and macroeconomic policy. Timo’s work has appeared in leading journals including Experimental Economics, Oxford Economic Papers, Oxford Review of Economic Policy, and Journal of Macroeconomics. He has also provided media commentary and written numerous policy briefs on infrastructure policy, financial crises, asset price bubbles and central banking.
