Dr Christina Griffin

Christina is a senior lecturer with the Resources, Environment and Development Group at the Crawford School of Public Policy. She is an interdisciplinary human geographer with a keen interest in the study of natural hazards, climate change adaptation, and rural livelihoods. Christina’s past research has focused on the interaction between processes of agrarian change, natural hazards, climate change adaptation, gender, and rural youth, with case studies in Indonesia and Aotearoa New Zealand. She has worked as an independent consultant, and was previously a research fellow at the University of Melbourne. Her recent research examines how satellite Earth observation can support just natural resource governance in the Asia Pacific. She is also convenor of EMDV8014 Research in Environmental and Climate Change Policy.
